Changelog

All notable changes to SCS and this documentation are recorded here. Format loosely follows Keep a Changelog.

[0.4.0] — 2026-11-02

Added

  • Terminal-controlled publishing: scs wp draft, scs wp publish now, scs wp publish <date>, scs wp publish pending, and scs wp status.
  • Desired-state publishing from publishing.csv (wp_status, publish_date) or article front matter via scs wp publish <article.md>.
  • Live publishing and scheduling require an approved QA snapshot; a live post is never converted back to draft.
  • parse_publish_date accepts YYYY/MM/DD and YYYY-MM-DD.

Changed

  • Top-level scs publish removed; publishing commands now live under scs wp.
  • scs wp publish can apply a desired state or an explicit mode/date.
  • Documentation updated to the new scs wp draft/publish/status commands.

Removed

  • scs publish --status in favor of scs wp status.

[Unreleased] — 2026-11-01

Added

  • Documented the minimum data required to create the first article Markdown file and front matter with scs brief, across the Front Matter, Brief Gate, and Front Matter & Markers pages.
  • Converted the CSV Data Model field lists into tables with concise descriptions for config/sites.csv, clusters, briefs, links, publishing, and performance CSVs.
  • Added a 07-cheatsheet category with CLI Usage, Workflow & Statuses, Front Matter & Markers, WordPress Publishing, and Troubleshooting quick references; linked it from the docs homepage and Documentation Map.
  • Single-file brief/article contract with <!-- scs:brief --> and <!-- scs:article --> markers. scs brief --check validates the brief half; scs publish sends only the article half.
  • scs research --check --require-export to require a file in research/<pid>/exports/.
  • NeuronWriter and Other as scs import-csv --source values.
  • Stable article path resolution: registered article_path → single md/<pid>--*.md → title slug.
  • Documentation: Documentation Map, Quick Start, Front Matter, Command Reference, Plugin Stack, and Troubleshooting.
  • Documentation: six-category structure (Start Here, Method, Publishing, Operations, System Reference, Business & Tools) with URL-preserving slugs.
  • Documentation: XML Sitemaps page — sitemap XML is generated automatically by SEOPress after content is published; SCS does not create, write, or submit it.

Changed

  • scs sync now writes brief_path to the article file; the separate briefs/ directory is no longer part of the workspace.
  • Documentation is tool-agnostic: keyword data can come from any SEO tool.
  • Publishing docs describe the terminal-owned state contract (draft / pending / future / publish) and WordPress as the visual review surface.
  • Front matter content_type is documented as the article format; the ACF content_type is mapped from clusters.kc_type.
  • Model names updated to deepseek-v4.1-flash and deepseek-v4-pro.
  • Performance docs use <workspace>-performance.csv.
  • Site documentation points to config/sites.csv and scs sites instead of a hard-coded site table.

Removed

  • The legacy 42-column content-pipeline.csv page.
  • SpyFu API endpoints, pricing units, and credential guidance.
  • content-md/ path examples.

[0.3.0] — 2026-10-27

Added

  • scs wp diff and scs wp pull-content for read-only comparison and non-overwriting review snapshots.
  • Intent provenance/confidence, business value, SERP review/fit, source confidence, and existing-page action fields.
  • Cluster coverage planning and query-level GSC history.

Changed

  • Corrected the GOS documentation to use raw 0–100 KD.
  • Workspaces own five prefixed stage CSVs; rows retain site_id.
  • Clarified that creating a workspace does not register a site.
  • Documented scs add-site and the workspace archive flow.

[0.2.1] — 2026-10-27

Added

  • --ws as a short alias for --workspace.
  • Article-path targeting for scs publish, scs qa pull|check|open, scs wp diff, and scs wp pull-content.

Changed

  • Documented the compact, writer-focused front matter and the separation of article body, CSV metadata, and research.

[0.2.0] — 2026-10-23

Added

  • Research workspace, brief gate, QA gate, decision model, publish bridge, terminal runbooks, WordPress contract, and field reference pages.
  • Pilot status on opshell.dev: review-gate plugin installed; draft publish, QA pull, QA check, and advance-to-Scheduled tested end to end.

Changed

  • Rewrote architecture, CSV data model, GOS scoring, and workflow for the v0.2 schema and gates.
  • Renamed priority to gos_tier; GOS is explicitly supporting.
  • Renamed wp_content_type to wp_content_format to avoid collision with ACF content_type.

[0.1.0] — 2026-10-15

Added

  • Initial SCS documentation: overview, architecture, CSV model, GOS scoring, workflow, keybindings, and roadmap.

Decisions recorded

  • SCS lives in server-side-program/scs.
  • Linked CSVs share pid, title, and keyword.
  • Phase 1 is local-first, with manual tool exports.
  • GOS and gos_tier are computed by the system, not typed by hand.
